NBA 2023-24 highest paid players: Lebron James drops to third, Steph Curry stays on top

According to Forbes, the highest-paid NBA player in 2023-24 will be none other than Steph Curry, who will earn a whopping $51.9 million in salary from the Golden State Warriors. Curry, who signed a four-year, $215.35 million extension with the Warriors in 2021, will become the first player in NBA history to make over $50 million in a single season.

The second-highest-paid NBA player in 2023-24 will be Kevin Durant, who will make $47.64 million in salary from the Phoenix Suns. Durant, who joined the Suns earlier this year signed a four-year, $194.2 million contract with the team.

The third-highest-paid NBA player in 2023-24 will be Nikola Jokic, who will make $47.60 million in salary from the Denver Nuggets. Jokic signed a 5-year / $276,122,630 contract with the Denver Nuggets in 2022, including $276,122,630 guaranteed, and an annual average salary of $55,224,526.

LeBron James will also make $47.6 million in salary from the Los Angeles Lakers. James signed a two-year, $99 million contract extension with the team in 2022. James is currently the highest-paid NBA player of all time, having surpassed Kevin Durant in 2021.

Joel Embiid will make the same salary as James and Jokic from the Philadelphia 76ers. Embiid, who has been an All-Star for four consecutive seasons, signed a four-year, $196 million contract extension with the team in 2022.
